Capturing the Zeitgeist

Write a caption for this photo. The winner will be selected next Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012.

In order to learn how Orange County’s collective mind operates, we invite you to submit a caption for this photograph. (We’d like to think that we are capturing the current zeitgeist, as it were.) You can do it either of three ways: (1) write it in the comments section below, or (2) go to our Facebook page and post your caption; or (3) email it to us at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). The editors will select the best one, and there will be a prize (to be announced).

We’ll post the winner next Tuesday, along with a new image for captioning. ... You see where this is going.

It’s somewhat akin to a Rorschack test—only much more entertaining—and with benefits.

Kim Crawford is the content wrangler for an Orange County coastal lifestyle website. In addition, she writes, edits, rewrites, control+deletes, and sometimes even crumbles it all in a ball and hits nothing but net. Other times, the words fly out of her so fast, the keyboard starts to smoke and any hope of containment is lost in the carnage that follows. The Apple Store loves her. Kim responds to your comments, so feel free to leave any. She admonishes, however, "Remember what the big guy [Buddha] said, 'What you think, you become.'"
